Q: Is there a dress code at any of your courses?
A: The courses do not have a dress code; however, we recommend players wear a collared shirt and golf shorts/pants. We recommend you NOT wear denim, gym shorts or cut off shirts.
Q: Are there leagues during the week?
A: There are leagues Monday – Thursday on each course which typically runs from 3:30 – 5:30. Genesee Valley South is an exception.
Q: When does the course close for the Winter?
A: Each course typically closes during November of each season. The actual closing date depends on the weather. Once closed for the off season, the courses will stay closed through the Winter until the next Spring.
Q: Do I need to reserve a tee time to play golf?
A: Tee times are ALWAYS recommended; however, tee times are not required to be made before arriving to the course IF the course has available openings.
Q: Are there annual memberships available?
A: Yes, Monroe County Parks offers season passes that extend to all 3 golf courses. These passes may be purchased at any of the 3 golf courses once they’re open each season. Unlimited and weekday passes may also be purchased online each season prior to the golf courses opening.
Q: Do your courses have senior rates?
A: Monroe County Parks offers annual permits for those guests who are 62 years of age or older. This permit will give the guest access to senior rates. Permits are FREE of charge to those eligible. They may be applied for at any of the 3 golf courses once they’re open for the season. Please bring identification with your Date of Birth when you apply.
Q: Do your courses have a driving range?
A: Yes! Genesee Valley and Churchville have all grass driving ranges open to the public. Durand Eastman offers 2 practice putting greens but no driving range.
Q: How do I renew my season pass?
A: You may renew your pass online by navigating to the “Purchase Season Pass” on the Home menu OR you may visit any of the 3 pro shops in season to purchase. Passes/permits will be available at Genesee Valley prior to opening on a TBD basis. Please call 585-424-2920 for current availability.
Q: Do your courses accept Credit Cards?
A: Yes, all 3 golf courses accept Discover, Visa, American Express and Mastercard.
Q: How do I purchase a gift card?
A: Gift cards may be purchased online by clicking on the “Purchase Gift Card” link on the main menu. Online gift cards are instantly delivered as you print them off your computer. You may also purchase gift cards (when in season) at any of the 3 golf course pro shops. During the holiday season, you may call Genesee Valley Golf Course 585-424-2920 to purchase over the phone and have it mailed or picked up. Gift cards may be used at any of the 3 golf courses under the Monroe County Parks umbrella.
Q: Are season passes & permits for all 3 courses?
A: Yes! Season passes and permits are valid at any of the Monroe County Parks run golf courses. (Genesee Valley, Churchville & Durand Eastman)
Q: Do I need my own clubs?
A: All 3 courses offer a limited number of Mens, Ladies and junior sets for rental. Please call the course you would like to play to check on availability.
Q: How long does it take to play golf?
A: Generally speaking, when playing with 4 players – it should take you NO longer than 2 hours and 15 minutes for 9 holes and 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete 18 holes. NOTE: Weekend mornings are busier and may create longer play times.
